此茶棗採用沈金工藝，視覺效果金光璀璨，採用菊紋主題。菊是花中四君子之一，盛開於萬花凋零之際，是清高長壽的象徵。陰曆九月初九，中華民俗常以菊花釀酒，飲菊花酒可健康長壽，因此，菊花在各種吉祥圖案的組合中往往代表“壽”。
茶棗是日本茶道中必備茶器，專門用於盛放茶葉末，是日本抹茶中薄茶器之一，由於其形狀與棗相似，故稱為茶棗。
「輪島塗」起源於日本江戶時代寬文年間，是位於石川縣輪島市生產的漆器名稱，「輪島塗」漆器的漆料裡使用了輪島出產的優質矽藻土（輪島底粉），因而製成的底胎有著堅固耐用的特點。在髹塗好的漆器表面刻出紋樣，並填埋金銀粉，則稱為「沈金」。
