此茶盒色澤沉穩黝黑，與黃楊木顏色形成對比。
形如兩匣書函上置兩捲軸，並以絲縐捆系，兩側嵌黃楊木，鎘刻細膩均勻紋理，以肖書頁或畫卷，雙層書函，黃楊木精刻出書本紋理，下部兩側帶鈕，方便抽出，藏納茶葉。
書函兩抽屜以覆瓦形把手，畫軸則配圓鈕，構思巧妙。書函側面雕玉別子與盤系畫軸的絲絛，皆惟妙惟肖。
