此東瀛伊萬里蓋碗（蓋物）為舊物，源於與中國一脈相承的東瀛海島伊萬里； 愚以為日本碗、盞器型之古雅無出其右，所以一見如故。由於器型低穩，用當代中國泡茶法尤為順手易用。
日本蓋碗（蓋物）生於安土、桃山時代（對應於明末），明末清初，日本蓋物器型傳入中國，正當中國茶清飲法（泡茶法）流行，逐步形成中國康熙晚期的（三才）蓋碗，沿用至今。
中日瓷器紋飾、器型的交流從未停止，錯綜複雜的相互模仿借鑑，一脈相承。
