此屏風年代不詳，製式古雅。尤適合文房四茶事之用。
文震享說：今人製作，徒取雕繪文飾，以悅俗眼，而古制蕩然，令人慨嘆實深。
表達的是中國傳統文人對器物的探索與趣味。
屏風，「屏其風也」。
屏風歷史從《物原》有「禹作屏」算來，已有四千年之久。 《週禮·掌次》中記載有「設皇邸」。 （邸是屏風的早期稱謂）屏風設在天子座後以顯示「九五之尊」。 從「天子當屏而立」, 發展到屏風陳設於室內的顯著位置，起到分隔、美化、協調作用。屏風不斷變化演繹形成了獨特的文化內涵。
《紅樓夢》中多處描寫屏風：
鳳姐兒道：“共有十六家有圍屏，一面是泥金'百壽圖'的，是頭等的”
