大漆可追溯到公元前7000多年的新石器時期。後來被稱為“japan”。漆器一般耗時數月，流程為：木胎→打磨→包麻布胎→調整→填灰→上黑漆→上罩漆→上外漆。天然漆在胎體表面結成堅韌的漆膜，既抗潮、防腐、耐磨，又有美麗柔和的光澤，不僅起到保護作用，更能裝飾器物。
