香薰黄杨木制，质地细腻，色呈朱红，润泽有光。圆雕卧鹿，四肢踡曲，温顺乖巧，昂颈侧首，双目炯炯，灵动可爱。周身浅琢梅花纹，鹿角、蹄足等皆巨象写实。背部镂空草叶纹，有带球形花钮穹顶小盖，便于打开增添香料，镂空雕刻，香气可逸散。底座随形，下承小足。
