此屏风年代不详，制式古雅。尤适合文房四茶事之用。
文震享说：今人制作，徒取雕绘文饰，以悦俗眼，而古制荡然，令人慨叹实深。
表达的是中国传统文人对器物的探索和趣味。
屏风，“屏其风也”。
屏风历史从《物原》有“禹作屏”算来，已有四千年之久。《周礼·掌次》中记载有“设皇邸”。（邸是屏风的早期称谓）屏风设在天子座后以显示“九五之尊”。 从“天子当屏而立”, 发展到屏风陈设于室内的显著位置，起到分隔、美化、协调作用。屏风不断变化演绎形成了独特的文化内涵。
《红楼梦》中多处描写屏风：
凤姐儿道：“共有十六家有围屏，一面是泥金‘百寿图’的，是头等的 ”
