日本轮岛涂沈金花草文盒，采用轮岛独门绝技“沈金”工艺，器表朱漆底，内髹黑漆。盖面以沈金之法刻菊花、花草叶纹，后填金而制，花枝纤细，细密繁复，蝴蝶纹增加灵动之感。整体构图繁而不乱，金光灿然。
“轮岛涂”起源于日本江户时代宽文年间，是位于石川县轮岛市生产的漆器名称，“轮岛涂”漆器的漆料里使用了轮岛出产的优质硅藻土（轮岛底粉），因而制成的底胎有着坚固耐用的特点。在髹涂好的漆器表面刻出纹样，并填埋金银粉，则称为“沈金。
