The Guava-shaped Shuiping(Horizontal) Teapot was first created in the late Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China period. It became very popular in the 1950s and 1960s. At that time, the Zisha Art Factory used this teapot as the main export product to earn foreign exchange, and it remained popular until the 1980s and 1990s.
