Shi Guangling is " The founder of FTL Fengtailong . He was one of the founders of Tanyang Gongfu Black Tea and a pioneer of modern Chinese tea industry. He opened up the maritime tea route for Fujian black tea.
Pioneering the double-smoking method, its superior quality earned it a place as a supplier of tea to the British Royal Family. In 1887, for Queen Victoria's Millennium State Banquet at Windsor Castle, an additional 200 cases (3 times the original order) of FTL Fengtailong Gongfu Black Tea were placed to supply the celebratory banquet. The original text of the 1888 entry in the "Royal Procurement Record" reads: "Double-smoked Congou from Fuhkien, mark FTL-DS, 30 chests for Windsor Castle, retained in the Annual Provision List."
