This diamond-lobed style originated in the Tang Dynasty, gained popularity during the Five Dynasties, Song, Yuan, and Ming periods, and continued to be produced in the Qing Dynasty. The shape is inspired by the natural form of the morning glory. The raised ribbed patterns are elegantly contoured, precisely executed, and flow in a unified rhythm—neat, graceful, bright, and full of rhythmic vitality.

Adorned in coral red, this piece was designed by the Master of the Elegant Studio and crafted by Master Zhang Jian, a renowned artist specializing in Jingdezhen overglaze enamel and gilding techniques. Only six pieces have been created to date.
