"Fu Shou Kang Ning" Sacrificial Blue Porcelain Three-Piece Lidded Bowl with Raised Gilding Crafted by Xu Zhijun, a inheritor of the intangible cultural heritage of hand-painted porcelain craftsmanship from Jingdezhen, China.

Sacrificial Blue, also known as "Gem Blue," features a deep-sea blue hue with an even, smooth glaze surface that does not run or crack, boasting uniform color and stable firing results. As the ancient verse describes: "The sunset glow fades without a trace, revealing the clear blue of the sky." It is applied to the green body and fired in a single pass at a high temperature of 1280–1300°C.

Due to its brilliant gem-like luster, Sacrificial Blue was ranked alongside white glaze and red glaze during the Xuande reign of the Ming Dynasty, esteemed as one of the three "top grades" of glazed porcelain.

This Gem Blue lidded bowl is adorned with handcrafted raised gilding, featuring a combination of motifs including interlocking lotus, ruyi scepters, bats, and swastikas. Each motif carries a unique auspicious meaning, collectively representing blessings, longevity, health, and peace—an assemblage of all good fortunes.
