Crafted by Xu Zhijun, inheritor of the intangible cultural heritage of Qing Dynasty Imperial Famille Rose and master of Jingdezhen hand-painted porcelain craftsmanship.
The rim and foot ring are adorned with gold enamel, imitating the effect of painted enamel on copper. From the knob outward, the lid is painted with a lotus heart, lotus stamens, two layers of lotus petals and lotus leaves. The interior is glazed with pure white glaze; on the exterior, lotus leaves decorate the rim, triple layers of lotus petal patterns cover the body, and the foot ring is shaped into a lotus stem. With gorgeous, vivid colours and a unique form, this piece is a rare treasure among porcelains made in imitation of the Guangxu Imperial Kiln of the Qing Dynasty.
